Otunba Titi Tomori-Ponnle Extends Lent, Ramadan Greetings To Muslim, Christian Believers, Pray For Nigeria

Christians and Muslims in Nigeria have been advised to underscore the importance of mutual respect and understanding among people of diverse faiths during and after the lent season and holy month of ramadan.

This admonition is conveyed by the former deputy governor of Osun State, Her Excellency Otunba Titi Tomori-Ponnle, in a felicitation message made available to the OsunReporters News on Monday in Osogbo

In a gesture of unity and solidarity, Tomori-Ponnle extends heartfelt greetings to all Muslim faithful in Osun State and across Nigeria as they embark on the sacred month of 30-day fast of Ramadan while the 40-day Lent by the Christians is also ongoing.

She conveyed her best wishes for a spiritually enriching and fulfilling Lent and Ramadan experience, reaffirming the tradition of peaceful coexistence that has long characterized the harmony and cooperation among all religious denominations.

Recognizing the significance of the two holy months, the progressive grassroots politician advised all Nigerians to embrace the spirit of tolerance and empathy during this auspicious period, extending a hand of friendship and goodwill to their neighbors. She encouraged both Muslims and Christian to engage in acts of charity, self-reflection, and prayer, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Lent and Ramadan to promote unity and goodwill among all.
“As the months of Length and Ramadan come together, I enjoin both Christians and Muslims to imbibe the teachings and significance of the holy months.

“The holy month of Ramadan is the month of blessings, love, giving, sharing, forgiveness, prayers and reading of the Holy Qur’an while the Lent season marks the significance and teachings of Jesus Christ and above all is the season of answering prayers. Let us use it to reach out to our neighbors and pray for peace and harmony in this nation,” Tomori-Ponnle said.


The Osogbo born educationist, however, prayed for the successful implementaion of the President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’, urging Nigerians to pray for the peace and progress of Nigeria as President Bola Tinubu is trying to rene the hope of the nation.
