After a selection process held at the conference room of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, on Friday, Prince (Dr) Ademola Makinde has reportedly emerged the new Owa of Igbajo, in Osun State.
According to reports, Prince Makinde was announced as the new Owa of Igbajo on Friday 8 March, 2024.
Recall that Governor Ademola Adeleke had on November 28, 2022, ordered the reversal of all appointments made by his predecessor now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, after the latter lost the July 16, 2022 governorship election in the state.
But Gov Adeleke later reversed the appointment of Owa and that of two other monarchs, Oba Yinusa Olalekan Akadiri, the Akirun of Ikirun and Prince Ademola Oluponle, the Aree of Iree.
