Edo Labour Party Elects Olumide Akpata As 2024 Guber Candidate
Information reaching the OsunReporters News has it that the former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Olumide Akpata has reportedly won the gubernatorial ticket of the Labour Party for the Edo State Governorship Election.
It would be recalled that INEC had earlier fixed the Edo State Governorship Election for September, 2024.
According to reports, Akpata scored 316 votes to win the exercise held at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre, Airport Road in Benin City, Edo State capital on Friday.
While declaring the election results, the Deputy governor of Abia State, Ikechukwu Emetu, who is the returning officer for the poll, said Akpata pulled the highest number of votes after collating the results.
He.however, declared him winner of the party primaries election.
