Osogbo Residents Shower Praises On Aaraj For Restoring Light To Aresa Community

The residents of ward 7, 8, 9 and 10 ‘Aresa’ area of Osogbo have described Engr Raji Kehinde famously known as Aaraj God sent to the people in this trying time.

OsunReporters News gathered that Aresa community had been in total darkness for about five weeks over the bad stage of the transformer in the area.

Sources revealed that efforts made by the community leaders to reach out to some key individuals including politicians in the area who can render financial help all proved abortive.

Meanwhile, at the Aaraj Empowerment Foundations monthly meeting held in the area over the weekend where the attendees pleaded to the convener of the foundation to extend his tentacles of kindness to their area.

In his quick response, Engr Raji Kehinde and his team visited the area on Sunday and held a meeting with the elders in the community where it was revealed that a sum of N800,000 is needed to repair the transformer.

In attendance at the meeting were; Chief Imam Sodiq Ibrahim (Head of Councils of Osogbo); Alhaji Mustapha Aresa (Baale of Aresa); Alhaji Moshood Aponle (Agbomola of Osogbo); Chief Maruf Osolo of Osogbo land and Chief Imam Ile Aije.among others.

In his philanthropist gesture, Aaraj, however, donated a sum of N1,000,000 (one million naira) to restore light back to the community.

In their joyous mood, residents of the community appreciated and prayed to God Almighty to keep protecting their benefactor.

While speaking via telephone call with the OsunReporters News Correspondent on Sunday night, Mr Ajadi Abideen Aresa, confirmed the donation, noting that Aaraj rescued the community when some well-to-do people in the community failed to render any assistance.

He noted that the kind gesture of Aaraj is beyond party politics, adding that all residents of Aresa community will benefit from such gesture.

He however, on behalf of the community, thanked and prayed for God’s protection over the donor.
