Osun School Teacher Crushed To Death In Fresh Auto Crash

,,,A teacher, identified simply as Okunola, was crushed to death by a driver in Odeomu, Osun State.

,,,…..After the accident, which occurred on Tuesday, the driver of the car reportedly fled the scene as angry residents burnt down the car.

The spokesperson for the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kehinde Adeleke, disclosed this in a press statement on Wednesday.

Adeleke added that while trying to board….a motorcycle, a car suddenly ran into the market where he went to buy some items and hit Okunola, killing him on the spot, which led to violent reactions from the residents.

…..The statement partly read, “The said car was coming from Ibadan to Osogbo when the driver lost control due to a mechanical fault. The victim was a teacher in a school in Obada Area, Odeomu.

“The victim bought cassava peels at Obada Market and was attempting to…..board a motorcycle, when the car hit him.

“People in the vicinity set the car ablaze immediately they confirmed the passing away of the victim. The driver of the car escaped from the scene and his whereabouts are unknown.”

Urging motorists to ensure strict adherence to traffic laws, Adeleke said the Osun NSCDC State Commandant, Mr Michael Adaralewa, also implored residents to assist law enforcement agencies in…..keeping roads in the state safe by obeying laws.
