State Gov Adds N10,000 Monthly Stipend To Corps Members’ Allawee

,,,,,,Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has announced that youth corp members serving in Adamawa State will receive an additional monthly pay of N10,000 starting from January next year. The announcement was made during the 2023 swearing-in ceremony of members of the Batch C Stream 2 deployment. This batch comprises 1,340 corps members posted to the state.

…..The governor’s decision is aimed at cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal. This additional monthly stipend is in addition to what the youth corps members already receive from the Federal Government through the scheme.

In addition, the state government currently gives a N20,000 service-long bonus to every youth corps member upon completing their service year.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Fintiri also donated 50 bags of rice, 10 bulls, and 10 jerricans of cooking oil to augment the feeding requirements of the orientation camp for the newly deployed corps members.

…….In his address to the corps members, Governor Fintiri congratulated them on their successful graduation and urged them to seize the opportunity to discover their talents during their deployment and orientation camping.

The state Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Wali Yakubu, who also serves as the State Chairman NYSC Governing Board, encouraged the corps members to participate fully in all training sessions and strive to be job creators.
