Imo Guber: INEC declares Final results as Uzodimma re-elected

…….Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the governorship election as Imo state governor for the second term.

The State returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the election, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Prof Abayomi Fashina, announced the results on Sunday after the final collation of results.

APC: 540,308 vites

PDP: 71,503 votes

LP: 64, 081 votes

APGA: 5, 392


……..18 political parties fielded candidates in the poll, this year’s governorship election in Imo State has been described by analysts as a four-horse race between APC’s Uzodimma who is seeking re-election, Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party’s Achonu Nneji and Jack Ogunewe of the Action Alliance.
