The Ogun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, the state capital has upheld the election of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The judgement which lasted for more than 12 hours was said to have upheld Dapo Abiodun’s election and struck out the petition filed by the People’s Democratic Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Ladi Adebutu..
The judgement ably led by Hamidu Kunaza said the petition filed by Adebutu lacks merit and it was immediately dismissed.
A close source to Ladi Adebutu said the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate may still want to seek for a redress by appealing the judgement
