Senator Jibrin Isah, also known as Echocho, has been sacked from office by the Election Petition Tribunal in Lokoja, Kogi State.

He was the senator representing the Kogi East senatorial district in the National Assembly.

,,,,,As a result, the tribunal mandated a repeat of the senatorial contest that was declared won by Isah, a supporter of Governor Yahaya Bello, in 155 voting locations in Kogi East.

Isah, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Dr. Victor Adoji, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will face off in the rerun.

,,,,Hundreds of young people reportedly booed Isah during a campaign rally in the state’s Ankpa Local Government Area in January.

Isah, the district’s current senator, and Edward Onoja, the state’s deputy governor and candidate for the House of Representatives in the Ankpa Federal Constituency, both attended a campaign rally.

Isah allegedly received requests from some of the voters to…..speak with Governor Bello again on how he won the 2019 election.

However, he asserted that his campaign tour was successful and disputed that he had received jeers.

Isah recently seen in a widely circulated video knelt before Governor Bello to express gratitude for recommending Shaibu Abubakar-Audu, the late Abubakar Audu’s son, for a ministerial position.

,,,,,,Bello said in the video that Abubakar-Audu’s nomination was meant to honor his late father for his selfless deeds.

“For all the sacrifices, I am rewarding Prince Abubakar Audu, for all his sacrifices too (probably referring to Shaibu who was not visible in the video), I no loss, I gain plenty.

“To God be the glory!” Bello said.

“You’re over-rewarding us,” Isah told the governor.
