Osun Amotekun Apprehends Man For Stealing Phones

Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a young man Popoola Emmanuel, 30 years old, from Modakeke, osun state for stealing phones at Ikirun.

The suspect who specializes in stealing people’s phones, was apprehended by the operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps at Ikirun after a complaint was lodged at the Amotekun Ifelodun command against the suspect activities, the operatives swung into action immediately and he was arrested when he wanted to sell the stolen phones.

The suspect confessed to being an ex-convict imprisoned for the same offence in the past and he has been stealing people’s phones in Modakeke and disposing them in other towns.

The suspect was on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police for a very long time for the same act.

7 sim cards of different network
1 Black infinix hot casing with another 2 sims
1 infinix hot black phone with 1 sim card
1 Techno pop 3 golden casing
1 Techno Spark blue casing with another 2 sim card
1 ATM card.

Confirming the arrest to newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspect was arrested at Ikirun after stealing phones at modakeke and traveling to Ikirun to sell them, a complaint was lodged at Amotekun Ifelodun Command on the activities of the suspect and the operatives swung into action immediately, and apprehended the felon.

“During investigation, the suspect confessed to committing the act and that he had been stealing people’s phones for a long time and traveled to another town to sell them and he was an ex-convict imprisoned for the same act, also on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police for a very long time before luck ran against him”, Adewinmbi asserted.

The suspect has been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
