Sit-At-Home: Ekpa, Ohanaze split over Nnamdi Kanu’s Letter

The self-acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra, Simon Ekpa, has rejected the letter written to him by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Ekpa on whose directive South East sits at home every Monday, described the letter read publicly by Kanu’s lawyer Aloy Ejimakor as fake, noting that the two week sit-at-home order issue must be adhered to.

Recall that Kanu wrote a letter to Ekpa directing him to stop his actions against South-East Governors. He equally ordered him to stop Monday’s sit-at-home order, noting that he has no right to do so.

In his post via his Twitter handle, the Finland based Ekpa noted that the letter was a joke and an ‘insult taken too far’.

Giving conditions before he believes the letter came from Kanu, Ekpa stated that Kanu must be released by the Department of the State Service, DSS, and should speak to Biafrans from Finland.

Meanwhile, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization, on Saturday, confirmed the authenticity of the handwritten letter by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, to self-acclaimed Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa.

Ohanaeze said Kanu sent the letter over Ekpa’s attempt to destroy the Southeast in 14 days using the sit-at-home.

The body said Ekpa’s claim that Kanu’s letter was fake proved that the Finland-based agitator was working for those determined to destroy the Southeast.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization noted that Ekpa capitalised on the Federal Government’s lapses to release Kanu to sponsor insecurity in the Southeast. Ohanaeze’s factional Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, stated this in an interaction with newsmen.
