Sallah: Imbibe the teachings of Eid-el-Kabir, Titi Tomori-Ponnle urges Muslims faithfuls

As Muslims in Osun State and Nigeria join other parts of the world to mark this year Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the former Deputy Governor of Osun state, Otunba (Mrs) Titi Tomori-Ponnle has felicitated with them in the State and across Nigeria, urging all everyone to imbibe the lessons of Eid-el-Adha as exemplified by Prophet Ibraheem who exhibited absolute faith in Almighty God by obeying him in his willingness to sacrifice his only son.

In a felicitation message signed on Tuesday and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Her Excellency, Otunba Titi Ponnle urged Nigerians to let the act of patience, sacrifice, faith in God, selfless service to humanity reflect in their dealings as taught by the Eid season.

The message also noted that nothing is too big to give for the peace and progress of Osun and Nigeria, adding that this occasion offers the faithfuls another rare opportunity to seek God’s bounties and bond with one another in an atmosphere of love and unity.

The Osogbo born Educationist cum politician, who led the APC Southwest Campaign Grassroot Engagement and Orientation in the 2023 Presidential election, tasked Osun residents to take advantage of the moment to beseech Allah for His continuous mercies on the State, Nigeria and humanity as a whole.

“As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-el-Kabir this year, it is my prayers to the Almighty God to accept our worship and supplications, grant us his guidance and place our State and country on the path of peace and sustainable development.

“I urge all Muslims to imbibe the lessons of Eid-el-Adha as exemplified by Prophet Ibraheem for peace to reign in our land,” she added.
