Many progressives members, leaders and political stalwarts in Osun still found their faces grimaced in the wake of long time rift between the immediate past Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola and the former governor, Oyetola that shredded the political party’s victory in the last gubernatorial campaign.

The hurdle being crossed by the immediate past governor, Oyetola is similar to that of Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahamoni, but were approached with different strategies that produced different results.

In Kwara State, governor AbdulRahamoni, has the same problem with Lai Muhammad but was able to meandered the oceans of both immediate minister of information and culture, Lai Muhammad and the former senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

How it happened?,”According to the report gathered, Governor AbdulRahamoni engaged in thorough politicking, Involving party members in decision making.”

His kitchen cabinets are working for the interest of the party and generality of the people, this can be shown in all political appointments.

He did not interfere in primaries to Senate, Reps and Assembly. delegates were used and each aspirants were allowed to canvas, to delegates and result was upheld and all aspirants accepted the result, it did not caused rancour in the party.”

Political office holders, Assembly members, commissioners, SA , SSA , Local government office holders were empowered.

All board were appointed early, which empowered a lot of party faithful. The AbdulRasaq politicking shows during the presidency and just concluded election.

Celebrating the home coming after serving as minister of interior, Aregbesola declared on Saturday that politics has fully started in the state, he explained how he was received by the people of the state, Orionframe reports.

In the last four years of the past administration, I was unable to walk freely, but now that the power have changed, they didn’t wanted me leave on getting to “AJEGUNLE” in Osogbo. Speaking in dialect, “BUGA LO JE AWON ARA AJEGUNLE” ,meaning he had to danced to BUGA song in order to discharge the audience blocking his way to the venue for his home coming party.

The declaration of his eventful home coming has been largely criticised by the Oyetola’s camp, baring that, “Ogbeni, as he is fondly called, has lost his magic wand. He was in town yesterday (Friday) and Osogbo was not locked down. Ilesa, where he comes from and from where he began his home coming trail was cool and calm at the time of his visit. No long convoy of vehicles and motorcycles to indicate that an important personality was within the vicinity.

The pummelled crises still gets lumpy following a statement countering Ogbeni’s home coming, that Oyetola did everything humanly possible to cover up for Ogbeni to the chagrin of a section of Osun people. He received blames and insults for actions carried out by Ogbeni Aregbesola. He served Aregbesola faithfully and diligently and ensured his weaknesses were never exposed. Is it during the labour wahala, when Aregbesola could no longer walk freely in Osun even as a sitting governor? Or the financial wizardry that was deployed to ensure Osun did not go insolvent?.

Oyetola meant well. If he could manage his relationship with Senator Iyiola Omisore, to the extent that Omisore decided to join APC fully before emerging as the National Secretary of APC, he could never have shied away from managing Ogbeni. But Aregbesola refused to make himself available to be managed. Today, we can all see the results, the statement read.

One of the leaders of the progressives who prefers anonymous said, But there is need for us to tell ourselves the bitter truth.

” dibo ko se obe, Vote has been order of the day in Nigeria, we should not expect better results when we failed to spend and other parties are spending.
