Ohoro of Shao joins anchors

Death of the Ohoro of Shao, Oba Dr Bamidele Alabi Adegbite Oyerinde III,has been announced.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer, Shao Community Development Association, Dr. Sangodare Ayinla, said that mornarch gave up ghost today, Thursday, 27th of April, 2023, after brief illness at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin.

,,,,,The statement, which was jointly signed by the President of the association, Elder Emmanuel Ayantunde Adebara, and the Secretary, Mr. Olatunde Pasca Kolawole, added that late Oba Adegbite was from the Oyerinde leanage of the Ruling Houses in the ancient town and ascended the throne of his ancestors on the 2nd of November, 2002.

“The death of Ohoro of Shao, His Royal Highness, Oba Dr. Bamidele Alabi Adegbite Oyerinde The Third is saddening and appalling to the entire people of Shao. It is unfortunate that his death came when the community is in deer need of his wealth of experience, profound sapience, courage, munificence and cosmopolitan quality.

“He had strong passion for tge development of Shao, and he exhited this devotedly. His demise is a huge loss to Shao, and an exit of a hero”, the statement said.

,,,,,Adebara disclosed that the burial of the late King will take place by 10:00 am on Friday at the Ohoro’s Palace, Shao in Moro LGA of Kwara State.

Oba Adegbite, who died at the age of Eighty-One, retired as a Permanent Secretary (Political Affairs) in 1991 at the Governor’s Office, Ilorin.
