Profile of Dr Morufu Adewole Adebayo Gangaria
Alh. Hon. (Dr) Morufu Adewale Adebayo Gangaria was born towards the late 60s to Pa Salami and Mama Sariyu Adewale in Mongba compound (Ahmadiyya),Owo-Ope Osogbo in Olorunda LG.
Mama Sariyu hailed from Ogidi compound, just adjacent to Mongba compound.
*Education;*
Alh. Hon. (Dr.) Morufu Adewale Adebayo had his primary education at C.A.C. Primary School, Gbonmi, Osogbo and started his secondary school at the same C.A.C. Gbonmi Secondary School.
He concluded his secondary education at St.James’ Secondary School, Ayetoro Osogbo due to the school merger policy of the then old Oyo State government of the late sage, late Uncle Bola Ige. He graduated from the school in 1986.
After some years, he pursued and obtained ordinary Diploma and Advance Diploma in Mass Communication from Ibadan Polytechnic with enviable upper credit division. By dint of hard labour, as a lover of education, he later went further and bagged a BsC degree in Mass Communication at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
He is presently a Msc degree student at the same NOUN.
*Career path;*
Immediately after the secondary school, he pursued the family career in herbal medicine and later learnt further under the tutelage of the Late Alh. Ganiyu Olatunji of Onisango Compound, Osogbo for years before gaining independence.
After some years of holding political office at the local government he withdrew from politics, faced the business and made name for himself and the family.
The turnaround came with the research and production of the now global and homely herbal preparation, GANGARIA DE FLUSH.
Gangaria is the renowned herbal preparation that has proven highly effective for various ailments like pile, haemorrhoids, fibroids, ulcer, staphylococcus infections and menstruation disorders to mention a few.
*Political antecedent;*
He was actually spurred into active politics because of his age long desire to serve God through humanity. He was elected as councilor in 1996 under zero party and was an aspirant to the House of Assembly primary election in 1998. He was an elected Secretary for PDP Olorunda local government two term (2001-2004, & 2007-2010), I served as special adviser on youth, sport and political Olorunda local government 2004-2005, also served as supervisory councilor on agriculture (2006-2007) before he was appointed to serve as special adviser on agriculture, Olorunda Local Government in 2008-2010.

He has contributed in his own little ways to both his immediate community in Osogbo and the neighborhood.
He has given scholarship for higher school students to some in Osogbo. Gangaria has a charity file offering financial assistance and supports to all who come to his office on requests ranging from business,health and welfare needs as well as school fees challenges faced by many.
A patron to an empowerment foundation in Osogbo,which give financial supports to traders and artisans.
*Job creation;*
To the Glory of almighty, Sary Salam herbal and commercial enterprises is able to turn out to the market a product value worth about 50 million naira weekly with over 50 vehicles, cars and buses out of the pool for distribution all over the South West and across the Niger river to Abuja, Niger and Kaduna States.
Gangaria product has a large market across Nigerian border of Benin Republic and beyond.
*Visions and Missions for Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal constituency 2023;*
(A) Excellent Representation: Through;
• Sponsoring and supporting of bills that will impact positively on the people of my constituency.
• Facilitation of laudable federal projects to Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu federal constituency.
(B) Accessibility: Through;
• Regular civic meetings; The best way a parliamentary representation can yield an excellent result is through effective community town hall meetings as and when due. We will put in place a strategic team to draw out a periodic and effective civic meetings and engagement across the federal constituency in a bid to set a benchmark for our developmental plans, we will take need assessment very seriously, for that is why we can meet exactly what the people truly needs.
• Accessible constituency offices/secretariat across Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal constituency: This is to enable the constituents get involved directly in the day-to-day running of the constituency – people can have an assurance of free access and feedbacks when there are offices within their immediate environment.
(C) Human and Communities Development:
(i) Human Development: Through;
• Construction of well equipped training center for Vocational Skills acquisition and tutorials for Final year Secondary School Students.
• Payment of WAEC/NECO/JAMB examination fees for at least fifty students from the four local government.
• Study Scholarships for outstanding secondary school students and grants for indigents tertiary institution students through the indigenous students associations across the federal constituency.
•Gangaria grants and non-interest loan facilities for farmers, traders and Artisans through creation of Gangaria Cooperative society which will partner with a notable microfinance bank to offer free interest loans to traders, artisans and farmers.
• Empowerment program for Widows/less privileged, (3 times in a year).
• Job and internship placement: we shall assist greatly in providing the best and reasonable slots for our job seekers in private and public sectors through a well established strategic team which will be put in place to gather data base and use same to assist in job creation and support at federal, state and private organizations.
• Extra moral classes for students writing WAEC/NECO and JAMB examinations.
• Scholarship to indigenous students at University, Polytechnic and Colleges of Education across the Federal Constituency.
• Rejuvenation of BATIK WEARS back to life to create jobs and empower youths.
• facilitation of slots for constituents and civil servants traveling abroad
• Sport development; we shall work with team of grassroot football coaches, experts and stakeholders to identify young and inspiring talents within the federal constituency by organizing regular football tournaments and other sporting activities.
• Special Agricultural training and financial support: farmers will be greatly assisted with needed tools and equipment to boost productivity. Grants will be specially designed to make our agricultural evolution strategy work for us all.
(ii) Community Development: Through;
• Health care support projects.
• Urban and Rural Electrification support project – replacement of the wooden electric poles with concrete poles.
• Construction and maintenance of public toilets in markets across Osogbo federal constituency.
• facilitation of road projects – rehabilitation and drainage control systems.
• Regular grading of roads within the communities in the four local government.
• Raising a special fund for sponsoring of Muslims to Mecca and Christians to Jerusalem (Pilgrimage) across the federal constituency.
• promotion of locally made goods in our constituency.
