3 Gunmen Wearing Protective Charms Killed By Nigerian Soldiers
,,,,,,The three militants were killed following a gunfight at Umunze in the state’s Orumba South local government district.
The Nigerian Army killed three militants who were terrorizing Anambra State on Wednesday.
The three militants were killed following a gunfight at Umunze in the state’s Orumba South local government district.
,,,,,According to security sources, the shooters wore charms about their bodies, including their legs, necks, waists, and wrists.
According to one of the reports, the three shooters were part of a criminal group that recently assaulted a security patrol vehicle and killed five soldiers in Orumba.
“They were members of the criminal group that murdered so many people and kidnapped so many politicians in and around Orumba, Aguta, Umunze, Okoh, and other parts of the state.”
“Their charms had failed them today. We hope their charms continue to fail them in combat. We require peace. Many criminals (whom) politicians employed in previous elections have acquired weaponry and are using them to commit atrocities under the guise of the Biafra struggle.”
Although the Nigeria Police Force, Anambra command has not formally verified the occurrence, some top police officials have.
According to a police official, the operation was carried out at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday by a joint police and military squad.
“They are not the only ones who understand how to get charms. We’re not giving up because they don’t want to relax. We’ll get them out “He said.
,,,,,Ikenga Tochukwu, the state police command’s spokesperson, did not immediately react to SaharaReporters’ questions.”
