cultists strike in Osogbo, kill rival gang member

……Some hoodlums suspected to be members of rival cultists have killed one Quadri Agbefawo in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

It was gathered that the incident happened around Abaku area of the town at about 2pm on Saturday.

It was learnt that Agbefawo was trailed to the area and was seized by the assailants who hit him with many dangerous weapons and left him soaked in blood before they fled the scene.

,,,,,,A roadside grocery seller, who simply wanted to be identified as Titilayo, during an interview said, “We all fled as some boys carrying sticks, matchetes and charms attacked Agbefawo. He attempted to flee, but those that attacked him were many and they must have studied his movement well.

“He was left with serious injuries on his head. He bled to death on the spot. No one could go near him. I watched happenings from hiding near the scene,” she said.

…….A reliable security source, who pleaded anonymity, said the deceased was on the watch list of the anti-cultism unit of Osun State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force for killing two people.

When contacted on Sunday, spokesperson of the state command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.

………In a text message, Opalola simply wrote, “It is true. It happened on Saturday.
