APC releases timetable for primaries, fixes prices for nomination
The national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress has released proposed schedule of activities, timetable and prices of expression of Interest and nomination forms the 2023 general elections.
,,,,,According to the proposed election timetable and schedule of activities, primary election for State Assembly would hold on Tuesday May 17, 2022, House of Representatives would hold on Thursday May 19, 2022, Senate would hold on Saturday May 21, 2022, Governorship would hold on Tuesday May 24, 2022, while Special National Convention for presidential election would be on Saturday May 30, 2022.
“The following amounts for the forms were proposed by the NWC subject to approval by NEC:
,,,,,,Z“State House of Assembly -Expression of Interest at N500,000 and Nomination Form at N1,500,000.
Former fees – Expression of Interest at N100,000 and Nomination Form at N750,000.
House of Representatives- Expression of Interest -N1,000,000; Nomination Form-N4,000,000.
….Former fees – Expression of Interest at N350,000 and Nomination Form at N3,500,000.
“For the Senate: Expression of Interest -N2,000,000, Nomination Form N8,000,000.
Former fees – Expression of Interest at N1,000,000 and Nomination Form at N6,000,000.
“Governorship – expression of interest – N5,000,000, while Nomination Form is N25,000,000.
NEC is yet to ratify the proposed schedule of activities, timetable and prices of expression of Interest and nomination forms the 2023 general elections.
