Suspected 27-year-old burglar arrested in Osun

The Osun Command of the Nigerian Civil Defense and Security Corps (NSCDC) apprehended a 27-year-old man, Mumeen, for burglary.

According to information made available by Osun NSCDC public relations manager Daniel Adigun, the suspect was apprehended on Saturday, December 11, 2021 while attempting to jump over the fence at a compound in Sunday Akpan, Ilesa Garage, Osogbo.

Adigun said that the occupant of the house where he was arrested, Ms. Oyedele Dasola, explained that he was apprehended when she found him inside her house with the intention of stealing. Cleaning services in Nigeria

During his arrest, all efforts to extract information from the suspect did not yield any positive results as he presented himself as a psychotic person.
However, Osun NSCDC commander Emmanuel Ocheja ordered that a full investigation be carried out into the matter.

While cautioning residents about the need to be aware of their surroundings and always take note of unfamiliar faces entering their premises, Ocheja noted that burglary and theft cases have been on the rise in recent times.


He called on residents to take additional measures to control the break-ins, especially of buildings in developing areas of the city.
