Residents of Onababaona neighborhood in Osogbo, the state capital of Osun, were recently confused when a woman identified as Khadijat reportedly went mad after visiting her boyfriend.

Locals have revealed that the young woman, aged around 25, began to become insane after getting out of a private vehicle at around 7 a.m.

The lady, who spoke inconsistently when questioned by some locals, was reportedly seen picking up dirty items from the side of the road and placing them on her head.

It was established that some supporters recovered a phone she was holding from her in order to contact her relatives, but it was discovered that the contacts on the phone had been deleted.

When we found out that her phone contacts had been deleted, we decided to check her call logs. Fortunately, we saw the last number she dialed and called her. The lady who took the call said she was her twin sister and warned her (Khadijat) not to visit the man (her boyfriend).

She said that they both lived in Lagos and that she couldn’t come to Osogbo due to her job. The twin sister then sent us their parent’s number for us to call. We called the number and a man picked it up, confirming that he was a relative of hers. The man came later and took her away, ”revealed a resident.

He added: “In the opinion of some people, Khadijat could have been the victim of ritualists. She could not regain her sanity when she was taken away by her relatives, based in Osogbo.

“One of his relatives who came to the scene to take him said that Khadijat lived in Osogbo before moving to Lagos earlier this year with his twin sister.

“We don’t know she was visiting Osogbo and we didn’t even know the person she visited. We are surprised to see her in this condition.
