Amotekun Arrests Three Vehicles, 18 Militants Suspected Armed Robbers

Officers from the western Nigerian security services, Amotekun Corps, Ondo State, have arrested three buses carrying 18 suspected armed robbers.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Olabode Richard Olatunde, on Friday, November 5.
The statement, ‘Seizure: Ondo Amotekun arrested 18 gunmen with 500 rifles, and ammunition in 3 buses.

He said, “Amotekun police in Ondo State have seized a bus carrying 500 knives hidden under the seats.

He made the announcement in a statement issued by Ondo State Information Secretary to the Governor, Olabode Richard Olatunde on Friday.
The statement said Ondo Amotekun arrested 18 gunmen and 500 rifles in 3 buses.
“Amotekun police in Ondo State have seized a bus carrying 500 knives hidden under the seats,” he added.


Eighteen people were arrested on suspicion of robbing the car while two other buses escaped
“Presenting the suspects before the media in Akure, the Commander of the Amotekun Corps of the state, Adetunji Adeleye, said three buses escaped from various checkpoints before being arrested in Ondo State.”
