Best OAU graduate receives house, N5m, scholarship

OGUN State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has donated N5 million to Joy Oyinlola Adesina, a graduate student at the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State and scholarships for further study.

Abiodun, who made the announcement at a reception for Miss Adesina last Wednesday, said the scholarship was for her stay at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu. The governor noted that the publication of the best medical education from the OAU “was a victory, a difficult one that only many of its peers can do.”
She got 10 points and won nine prizes in the final exam.

Abiodun noted, “Its success comes on the heels of the efforts of some of our young people, who have recently excelled in various fields of education, and our government has been rewarded under a program. called Ogun Academic Laureates “.

Abiodun pointed out that with the Ogun Academic Laureates Awards, his administration has expressed the hope of reviving the interest of professionals in education and innovation, especially for their successors.

This, he said, was to increase Wole Soyinka’s harvest and harvest; Theophilus Ogunlesis; Adeoye Lambos; Olikoye Ransome-Kutis; Akin Mabogunjes; Oyinade Olurins; and the rest of Obafemi Awolowos ”.

He reiterated that his government would continue to recognize the natives of Ogun State or the natives of Ogun State, who through hard work have acquired knowledge in the field of education and are well versed in attitudes and innovations.

Abiodun said the winners of the Ogun State award were given full scholarships, cash prizes and housing.

He said: “We did it not only because it was in line with our values, but also because we are a government of promise. We do not make unfulfilled promises or do not keep them.

“We are all here to celebrate the success of Adesina, a native of our state who attended the OAU Medical School, Ile-Ife. She has seen, learned and succeeded, returning home after a thorough study and rigorous examination with a record 10 points and nine awards.

Adesina has been at almost every medical laurel in OAU, Ife. We are not the only ones we are proud of, people like you, especially the young people who continue to raise the banner of glory and Omoluabi, which we have made a name for ourselves. ”

Abiodun, who gave the recipient the responsibility of putting her talents into research and education, expressed optimism that Adesina could become the first woman to win a Nobel Prize in medicine.
