SERAP tells Buhari to restore Communication Technology in Zamfara, Kastina
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President MUHAMMADU BUHARI, to reverse the suspension of internet and telecommunication networks in Zamfara State, and 13 local government areas of Katsina State.
Telecommunications operators had been ordered by the Nigerian Communications Commission to suspend communications networks as part of measures to check banditry in the affected areas.
This has been faulted by SERAP in a statement signed by its Deputy Director, KOLAWOLE OLUWADARE, explaining that the suspension is a form of collective punishment of Nigerians resident in these states.
