BREAKING: Another APC Chairman Removed From Office
The news reaching the OSUNREPORTERS NEWS has it that another APC Chairman has been Removed from Office in Enugu.
According to the report, members of the State Executive Committee (SEC) announced on Tuesday that the Caretaker Party Chairman, Dr Ben Nwoye, had been removed for alleged anti-party activities, accusing him of flagrant defiance of party statutory authorities, claiming that he intended to sow discord and create a crisis among the party’s ranks. Nwoye’s deputy, Prince Chikwado Nnaji, has been named acting state caretaker chairman by the State Executive Council.
While addressing newsmen, Nnaji explained that 42 of the 57 members of the executive approved Nwoye’s removal. He claimed Nwoye was removed by the SEC to save the party from further turmoil. Nnaji accused Nwoye of handing over the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling party (PDP). “We came together to rescue the party from its looming dismemberment should Nwoye remain as chairman,” the SEC said in a communiqué signed by 42 members, including the Secretary, Chief Robert Eze; Woman Leader, Mrs Oby Nwofor; Youth Leader, Joshua Mamah; Financial Secretary, Dr Amaka Adonu, among others.
……..When contacted, Nwoye called the suspension a ruse, claiming that those involved in the announcement were fakes. “I’m not going to respond to them because they’re liars. He said, “I just finished a meeting with the real SEC members at the party office.
It could be recalled that the party, APC, had on Wednesday suspended its caretaker Chairman, Sulaiman Adamu for insulting President Muhammed Buhari.
