Obaseki, Deputy Receive Certificate Of Return From INEC

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and his deputy Philip Shaibu have been presented a certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

This was revealed to our correspondent in a tweet by the INEC on Tuesday.

According to the tweet, “National Commissioner supervising Edo, Rivers and Bayelsa States, Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu has presented Certificates of Return to winners of the Edo State Governorship election, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his running mate, Mr. Philip Shaibu at INEC’s Office, Benin.”

Obaseki polled 307,955 votes across the 18 local government areas of the state to defeat All Progressives Congress candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who scored 223,619 votes.
