Nollywood star, Ogun Majek dies after long illness

Before now, Veteran Yoruba Nollywood star, Gbolagade Akinpelu popularly known as Ogun Majek was rumoured to have died about two months ago but the news was later confirmed to be untrue, while he finally kicked the bucket the early hours of Thursday.

Ogun Majek died after an unknown protracted sickness after he had on April 28th, 2020 cried out to the public for financial assistance over his sickness.

He was said to have been battling with unknown sickness for some years.

However, the leadership of Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria ( TAMPAN) has commiserated with the family of the deceased.

This was disclosed on Thursday morning in a statement signed by both NAT Social Director male, Alhaji Niyi Adedayo and NAT Social Director female, Mrs Toyosi Adesanya Ileyemi. “On behalf of TAMPAN global,we commiserate with the family of alhaji Gbolagade Akinpelu (alhaji ogun):all the social secretaries and social welfare commitee symphatize with oyo state TAMPAN,the almighty Allah will grant the deceased aljanah fridaus, condolence message by _Alh Niyi Adedayo(Nat social director male) Mrs Toyosi Adesanya ileyemi (Nat, social director female)odun ajinna sira(Amin),” the statement read.
