JUST IN: Osun Assembly passes Osun Youth Development Commission Establishment Bill 2020

In her bid to make life worth living for the youth of the state, the Osun State House of Assembly has yet passed the Osun youth development commission establishment bill 2020.

The bill which seeks to place the State of Osun youth in the rightful position after scaling through the third reading has been passed into law following a motion moved by the Leader of the house Hon. Maroof Olanrewaju was seconded by Hon. Adrilulahi Adegbile representing Olaoluwa state Constituency respectively.

Meanwhile, the Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon Timothy Owoeye at tge plenary on Wednesday also registered his displeasure on the rising cases of rape in the country, describing it as a menace that all and sundry should say no to.

Owoeye stated categorically the strict punishment that awaits anyone caught in the act. He said life imprisonment awaits whoever is found guilty of a rape allegation and 14 years jail for anyone that attempts the dastard act.
