BREAKING: 22-Year-Old Student Raped, Smashed To Death In Church (photo)

A 100 level student identified as Vera Uwaila Omizuwa of the Department of Microbiology, faculty of Life Sciences, University of Benin, Edo State has died from injuries sustained from rape.

According to Sahara News, the 22-year-old victim was said to have been rapes on Friday 29th May, 2020 near Ikpoba Hill in Benin City, at her Church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The report says, in preparation for the lifting of coronavirus-imposed shortdown, Vera went to Church to read as usual.

The perpetrator were said to have attacked her at the RCCG Ohovbe Road branch, raped and smashed her head with a fire extinguisher, leaving dead.

Vera was reportedly ruched to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), where she was battled for her life at the Intensive Care Unity (ICU)

She latter died on Saturday midnight, May 30th following excess loss of blood and deep cuts sustained from the attack.

A family source, who confirmed the development, described the deceased as “an easy going person”, while Nigerian have since taken to Twitter to demand for justice for the fallen student, using #JusticeForUwa as one of the numerous victims of rape across Nigeria.
