COVID-19: Release Relief Fund To Osun Govt Before It Is Too Late – W.I.P Chairman Urges FG
As the cases of corona virus epidemic is increasing in the State of Osun, Southwest, Nigeria where 18 people were tested positive to the COVID-19 among the over 100 indigenous sons and daughters of the state that returned from Ivory Coast some days ago, Comrade Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi call on the federal government to release COVID-19 relief fund to the government of Osun before the situation worsen further.
While seeking urgent monetary support for the State of Osun from the government of the federation, Comrade Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi who is the chairman, World Institute for Peace, the renowned organisation that basically meant for promotion of peace, enhancing humanitarian services and preservation of peoples right explained why it is necessary for the federal government to hasten release of relief fund for the control of COVID-19 that have infected over 20 people of the state.
Lamina said further, that the Institute will appreciate government of the federation if enough fund is credited to the account of the government of the State of Osun.
In his further appeal, the chairman call on the Minister of Health and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 to send fund to Osun government in less than 72 hours before it is too late.
The Institute through his chairman, implore Nigeria government not to take protection of lives of her citizenry with levity hand as every other nations are making relief funds and materials as first priority for their citizenry at this pandemic period.
Lamina urges Nigerians to abide by government’s rules and quarantine order as to curb the menace of the deadly virus that has claimed over 1,000,000 lives across borders of life.
