APC Leader, Otunba Titi Laoye-Ponle Seeks America’s Support For Farmers In Osun

A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Otunba Grace Titilayo Laoye-Ponle has appealed to the United States of America to increase her support to farmers in Osun State to enhance their skill and improve productivity.

In a report made available to OsunReporters News in Osogbo, Otunba Laoye-Ponle who is the immediate past Deputy Governnor of the State, made the call at her Osogbo residence while playing host to the US Consul General, Ms Claire Pierangelo and some agricultural experts from the US consulate in Nigeria.

The two-time Deputy Governor in company with her spouse, Prince Tunde Ponle told the envoy that she deliberately invited the Chairman and some executive members of the Association of farmers of Nigeria (AFAN) and Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) in Osun State to the interactive meeting held in her honour for them to rub minds with Agricultural experts on the entourage of the Consul General.

She remarked that the support of the United States of America will go a long way in assisting farmers in the state to acquire greater skills, increase farm yields and banish hunger.

Otunba Laoye-Ponle, who is the current Chairman of APC Elders Forum in Osogbo Federal Constituency, thanked the US representative for her visit and expressed the hope that would deepen the relationship between the US mission in Nigeria and the State of Osun.

Other dignitaries at the meeting were the world renown artist, Chief Jimoh Buraimo; Emeritus Professor of History, Richard Olaniyan and Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun State, Prince Gboyega Famodun.
