Despite the fact that those projects were commissioned by the Interior Minister in his State, and failed to attend the programme meant for his office, the Osun State Education Commissioner, Oladoyin Folorunso was lambasted by the Nigeria Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

It was reported that Minister Aregbesola blasted Commissioner Folorunso for being absent while he commissioned projects donated by Huawei to a pubic school in the state last Friday.

The projects include; toilet, water supply, and laboratory to create a conducive environment for learning were donated by the Global Information and Communications Technology company, Huawei, to Ogedengbe School of Science, Ilesa, Osun State.

According to the report, Osun Education Commissioner sent his aide to represent him upon his awareness that the Interior Minister will be present at the programme.

While registering his anger, Aregbesola said, in no condition will the commissioner for Education be absent at the commissioning of projects akin to his ministry, while a minister from the same political party came from Abuja for.

According to the Interior Minister, “I must say this before I will commission this project, because it is disrespectful and a sign of unseriousness. I will be blamed for it if I kept mute because I am an elder. A minister came from Abuja to a state where our party is ruling to commission project for the ministry of Education and the commissioner sent his Personal Assistant. This is really bad. Things shouldn’t have to go this way. A minister from the same party…”
