Buhari Appoints Adeleke As NCC Executive Commissioner
Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Adeleke Adewolu to ocupy the space of Sunday Dare as the executive commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
Recall that, Sunday Dare was the South West Zonal Representative at the NCC Board until his recent appointment as Minister of Youth and Sports.
For confirmation, President Buhari sent Adeleke Adewolu’s name to the Senate on Thursday in a letter dated 21 August was read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan on the floor of the upper chamber during plenary.
According to the letter: “In accordance with section 8(1) of the Nigerian Communications Commission’s Act, 2003, I hereby present Adeleke Moronfolu Adewolu for confirmation as Executive Commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission by the distinguished Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“While hoping that this request will receive the usual expeditious consideration of the distinguished Senate, please accept, Mr. Senate President, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
