296 Stranded Nigerians Departs UK, As 170 Returned From UAE Friday
296 stranded Nigerians in United Kingdom departed Gatwick Airport, London to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja today, August 15, 2020 at 1.38 pm aboard Air Peace Flight No. P47801 operated by Air Europa Flight No AEA962.
Meanwhile, 170 stranded Nigerians in United Arab Emirates, UAE, returned to Nigeria yesterday evening.
According to Nigerians In Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, on its twitter, the returnees on a flight paid by the UAE government arrived MMIA yesterday evening.
The UAE Government, NIDCOM said offered three free flights to Nigerians in Dubai whose documentation expired since March 1st and have been given till August 17 to leave the country.
All evacuees, NIDCOM added, tested Negative to COVID-19 and are now on a 14-day SELF-ISOLATION as mandated by NCDC, Federal Ministry of Health and Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
