189 Suspected Human Traffickers Arrested In Seme Border
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Border Patrol Command at Seme has intercepted 189 suspected human trafficking victims.
The Acting Comptroller-General of Immigration, ISAH JERE IDRIS who disclosed this at the Zone-A headquarters of the N-I-S in Lagos said the young people include 115 girls and 74 boys aged between 15 and 20 years.
The 189 victims have been handed over to officials of the Lagos Zonal Office of National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further necessary process.
