Osun 2022: PDP Launchs sale of Forms Reveals Deadlines

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that it will begin the sale of expressions of interest and candidacy forms for the Governorship election of Osun State on November 22 and end on December 10.

The party disclosed this in a statement issued by its national organizing secretary, Colonel Austin Akobundu (retired), on Wednesday, November 17 in Abuja.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set the election of the state governor for July 16, 2022.
Akobundu said that under the revised schedule of activities leading up to the primary elections, as approved by the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), the last day for the submission of forms has been set for December 17.

Then the statement said: “The screening of aspirants is scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the National Secretariat, while the calls on the screening have been scheduled for Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Ward congresses to elect ad hoc three-man delegates have been set from Wednesday February 16, 2022 to Thursday February 17, 2022.

“The local government congress for the election of a national delegate and a person living with a disability by local government is scheduled for Saturday February 26, 2022.

Akobundu added that the release of the list of delegates is also scheduled for Saturday, March 5, 2022.
He added that the party governor’s primary for the election would be on Monday, March 7, 2022.
“The appeals concerning the governors’ primary will be lodged on Thursday, March 10, 2022,” he added.


Akobundu advised all stakeholders, potential aspirants, leaders and PDP members in Osun State to rate and be guided accordingly
