“Osun is progressing without borrowing a dime because of Oyetola’s frugality” – Omipidan
Osun State Governor”s aide, Omipidan has described his boss as man of prudence and manager per excellence.
The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun, Ismail Omipidan, made this known wile fielding questions from journalists at the live-streamed monthly Media Parley, organized by the members of Osun Online Media Practitioners Association (OOMPA), over the weekend in Osogbo, Osun State capital, explaining that the way and manner at which his principal has been administering the affairs of the State across sectors of the economy in the last two and half years had proved that governance was possible in the face of socioeconomic challenges, adding that it is gladdening to know that his principal has been applying the scarce resources to develop the critical sectors of the state.
The Ila-Orangun born journalist per excellence reafirmd that the current administration will continue to deliver on the promises made to the people of Osun as many were already delivered in health, infrastructure, education, economy among others.
Responding to the debt profile of the State and how the State has been running in the face of the current socioeconomic reality, Omipidan boasted that his principal has not taken a dime as loan since assumption of office because Governor Oyetola has been implementing his wealth of experience in the private sector to govern the State.
“A man who is extremely prudent will spend carefully unlike a man who is extravagant. My principal was able to manage the little because he is prudent. We have not borrowed a dime and we are doing great. Our Administration has been performing excellently well as it kept faith with all the promises made to the people.
“Our administration was able to accomplish many of these feats because Oyetola employed Alternative Project Financing Mechanism aimed to ensure that much is achieved with little,” Omipidan said.
On how his boss has being managing the party politics affairs in the state, Omipidan described the allegations leveled against his principal by a group of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) known as “The Osun Progressives” (TOP) as baseless cooked lies to taint the image of the focused Governor, adding that Oyetola’s managerial skill has positively affect the state and the party affairs, adding that there was no division in the party while the perceived crisis and registered displeasure by a section of the party were internal matter that would soon be resolved soon.
