Threatening on social media to take her own life on Monday, Grace Amaka Uwaekwe from Umuahia, Abia State.

She said in a Facebook post, “I will commit suicide on Monday if ASUBEB & SEMB are not paid by this weekend, I better die before Education dies in Abia.”

Among the parastatals owed salaries in the state are Abia State Universal Basic Education Board, and State Education Management Board.

As at the time of filing this report, OSUN REPORTERS can not ascertain if the lady in question is an Abia State civil servant or not.
